I am really loving this series of collections! It's so much fun to see work from artists who aren't always on the front page, but deserve to be!! Thanks, EB, for doing this for us!

Nice pics!! Glad to see my friend smiling sunshine make it on the GG.

What a surprise to see my airplane romper included in this GG! This is such a great idea. I've already found several items tentatively for my gift list.

Thank you dear EB for creating a stellar alternative Etsy Gift Guide. I am honored to be included in your gift guide. Many thanks.

Today is a amazing, first being in the EB gift guide. Following that was notification that my Grace Paley Peace Crane is featured on the Grace Paley Legacy Blog.

She was one of the pioneering activist, feminist and anti-war women of the 20th Century

Thank you ladies !

Gorgeous! Keep up the great work.

What's with the pop up box saying to "click the link below to go to this shop" pointing to the Etsy link? It takes you to the front page, not the persons shop. I was able to click on the first few items, then suddenly I couldn't anymore, that box kept popping up. Sabotage?

The Sneaky One said...

Windys, it wasnt doing that earlier, so its definitely on their end.

Thanks for the feature!
Love the Etsy Bitch Gift Guides, and all the items featured!

These items are fabulous, and they wouldn't be in GG's or on the FP which is nonsense.

To those featured, Great work!

Beautiful, beautiful work. I love the Forever Room (it reminds me of The Last Supper, oddly) and I'm thrilled to see that you've included a crane by one of my fave Etsy artists, localcolorist.

Sweet! I love TheMidnightOrange (she has My Funny Bunny orange sculpture there). She has Cat Lady sculptures that you can special order..guess what's on my christmas list :)

MidnightOrange rocks!! I spent a good thirty minutes browsing through all her sculptures.

It's so nice of EB to feature some of these under-appreciated artists.

Hootie & his little Blowfish made me laugh: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=29549689

Wow, as I was viewing this lovely EtsyBitch GiftGuide just now, a message came up that said "Please click the link below to visit this shop." Lying bastards! The link goes to the Etsy front page. They are actually diverting attention away from the shop where you WANT to go, and forcing you to look at their favorite sellers. And need I mention, the ubiquitous TOYBREAKER is right now on the front page to which I was redirected!

Thank you, EB!! This is awesome!

And, a special thanks for including the gorgeous oriental screen made and painted by a fellow TeamMIDS member.

Looks like Etsy is preventing EB readers from getting to the sellers' shops. How pissy of them! Before I wrote my first comment thanking EB, the links worked and went directly to the shops.

How RUDE and UNKIND of you, Etsy! You're damaging those EB picked sellers (WHO ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS BTW!) by preventing them from getting sales. That majorly sucks big time!

What a great gift guide! I see that ADKbeads' gorgeous lampwork made it in. Her work is incredible!

First, thank you for featuring my coasters! These are some beautiful items, some have been in my faves a while (Tocadora) and some are new to me. Thanks for showing me something new!

Second, The big flashing box seems to be part of the flash version of Etsy mini. I tested it on my own blog and it is doing the same thing. You can actually edit that link at the bottom so it doesn't go to Etsy, I edited my test version to go to my shop. But it will still be pointing to the wrong shop for those items, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of the big flashing box unless you use the java version of etsymini.

eclipse said...

In other words this is a standard part of the etsymini flash script, not something etsy is doing just to Etsybitch. If you click the idividual item squares it should go to that item, just ignore that flashing popup thing.

eclipse said...

The only way to get rid of that flashing box is to use the javascript version of etsymini
example
The problem with the javascript version is you cannot edit the text at the bottom and remove your own shop name.
So you have to decide which is a bigger drawback, the appearance of self-promotion or the pop-up box that doesn't go to the featured shops. Someone will complain either way. Both issues are inherent in the etsymini itself.
