For the record: poll results

DanielleXO:

Should be fired -- 186 (66%)
Should be severely monitored -- 56 (19%)
Should be forgiven for her behavior -- 15 (5%)
Should be crowned Cupcake Queen! -- 24 (8%)
With the last two numbers added it's a sad state - an approval rating equal to George Bush.

If Etsy a company that listened to it's customers Danielle would be running scared for the hills right now.
But we know what the truth is. And she's not.

Fuck.

Yes, because these stats are comprehensive.

*boggles*

You take circa 250 people who are visiting your blog because they already dislike Etsy, and give them anti-Etsy, including anti DXO stuff to read, and what do you think they're going vote for? It's fun to get your frustration out by voting to 'fire' someone who annoys you, and it's easy to vote 'fire her!' when you're an anonymous person posting on a blog.

Ah, but this is Etsy Bitch and all votes are biased.

I am just happy another Admin was appointed the "Etsy Community Advocate" because, not only didn't I know there was such a illustrious title (royal almost)------I have yet to figure out what is being advocated!

I figured cupcake queen was a powerless figurehead, so I did not think of that one as "approval".

Disappointed sweetie,

It's a few more than 250 people who visit the site. Only 250 chose to vote.

As for the results - they're for conversational purposes. Of course the vote's slanted because EB readers like to read and/or bitch about Etsy.

Since Etsy and specifically DXO have a documented track record targeting dissenters with mutings and harassing emails, yes we're anonymous. No one is making you read our blog.

*shakes head right back atcha*

That's what I said, here: "You take circa 250 people who are visiting your blog because they already dislike Etsy,"

I generally enjoy the blog. This is just ridiculously slanted.

LOL! Everything on this blog *is* slanted, as seen through our eyes. We're not here to be fair or impartial.

Of course. But this: "If Etsy a company that listened to it's customers Danielle would be running scared for the hills right now." makes it look as if there are hundreds and thousands of users who have demanded she be fired, as opposed to 83 people thinking it's a good idea, and, when admin doesn't jump in and fire her, they're ignoring the wishes of the tons of people (which is doesn't, but that's another post). It just seemed a little over the top, so I commented.

Did anyone else go to cupcake night tonight?
Great how-tos, with advice to search the web for creative commons images to use for making pinback buttons.
I swear to god.
I mentioned what about using your own artwork?
"oh, yeah, that's a good idea too, eclipse".

I SWEAR TO GOD.

Using your own artwork...ummm....yeah! That's a fabulous idea!

Un-effing-believable.

Ok fair enough Disappointed.

Though if I were a betting person, DXO would be at the top of the list for Etsy Admin most likely to be canned first.

Oh, hey, there, typo that completely changed the meaning of my last comment! When I said Etsy DOESN'T ignore the wishes of the majority of it's users, I should've said it DOES ignore the wishes of it's users. Yikes. Original quote:

"when admin doesn't jump in and fire her, they're ignoring the wishes of the tons of people (which is doesn't, but that's another post)"
