We're Four!
Today is our fourth anniversary - though it hardly seems celebrating with the tragic loss of Angelica/Sneaky and the fact that so little has changed in four years. They are still playing the same games we first posted about in our first month - so little progress made for sellers. Just four more years of Etsy shame and disgust.
The fact we are here four years later when so many other Etsy callout sites have come and gone around us. People said we'd last three months, that wed never have enough material, rage or stamina to last long. Boy, oh boy, do people underestimate the therapeutic powers of bitch.
But, we'd not lasted that first month without all of you. Your support of our bitchy flail filled rantings would be for naught if you weren't here.
We're here for you. We're here because of you. Thank you for our support and we promise to keep up the fight - we just hope it doesn't take four more years for someone to buy Etsy and gut it's staff and replace them with capable, responsible and intelligent people instead.
Call us crazy, but we are hopeful for that day. But then we we also believe in unicorns, aliens, and bigfoot.

Happy Bitch Day!
Thanks for shining the light of bitch on the scam that Etsy has become. You've helped real handmade artisans to wake up, bitch, moan, grieve and move on to better sites with things like integrity, professionalism, respect and scruples. And for that I, and others, thank you.
Don't hold your breath for Etsy to get better, but keep on bitchin' while it gets weirder and goes down in fake cowl-y owl-y 20 cent beige ashes.
Bitch on!
Happy Birthday! and thanks for all the fish!:)
Congrats!! And thank you for fighting the good fight!
Happy Birthday folks. When I get boggled by the mass koolaid insanity which is Etsy, you keep me sane.
Best wishes and I hope not too many more.
Happy BD and keep up the good work
Thanks EB, I never knew I'd appreciate you so much.
"People said we'd last three months, that wed never have enough material, rage or stamina to last long. Boy, oh boy, do people underestimate the therapeutic powers of bitch."
They underestimated how incredibly disgusting the people behind Etsy are.
I want to thank each and every one of you bitches for helping me see that, no, maybe I wasn't the crazy one after all. I say this in all sincerity after having made a pantload of money today at a show that was too un-hip to be worthy of mention and a second, smaller pantload on Artfire. I owe that to you folks in large measure.
I'll be reading as long as you keep writing.
Happy birthday, and thanks again.
Happy 4 ~ I'm sure with what I see coming down the highway of etsy FAIL there is going to be much fodder to Blog!
Congrats and keep up the great work! I don't comment often but what you're doing is much appreciated!!
Happy Birthday EB
I was new to Etsy last year & if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have fully understood their shenanigans.
I say to the sellers of Etsy unite and storm the hipsters, take back the site in the name of Handmade, Vintage, & Supplies!
Does anyone know of an Etsy lawsuit brewing? There was mention of it at Artfire recently in the artist lounge area.
Happy Birthday!!! Thank you for giving us a safe place to vent.
While it may be true that Etsy is still up to screwing those who pay them, I believe that if it were not for Etsy Bitch, the hipsters would have been four times as bad.
You are the voice of reason and help keep us sane.
thank you so much for keeping up the battle...
Here's a link to someone who hopefully will be stopping by here soon. She really needs your help!

HB!!
Are you ever going to bitch about Etsy again?
Rokali was tweeting about Etsy's 6th Birthday the other day.
For what it's worth, these tracking files aren't really "undeletable," as the article claims. They won't get deleted through normal means of removing cookies, but they can be removed.
It is very creepy to see how much these are used though. The companies named in the lawsuit are only a few. If you check out one of the Firefox plugins recommended, you'll find plenty more :(
