"He Must Be On Crack"

We were sent this link to day and we simply had to share such inspired creativity in reference to our favorite ginger asshat CEO.

"He Must be on Crack" is a satirical piece about @rokali the founder of etsy. Etsy is now being represented in the media as a "flea market." I read the recent article about Rob in whatever magazine he was recently interviewed in and all I could say after each paragraph is, "He must be smoking crack." It measures A5 or 5.75x7.5 inches. I did a quick sketch with pencil and then used a Lamy Safari with a B nib filled with Noodler's Black ink for the black lines and color was added with watercolors, the background and all red in the piece is done with Noodler's Nikita and a brush.

It's wonderful. It's a masterpiece. It's so freakishly clownlike. it's so... Rokali.

It's also for sale for a stunningly low $25.

GO BUY IT!

She should make prints of this...

I'm so glad you linked up my art. ROFL. I made this so he'd look especially clown like and ridiculous!

Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I thought too...he must be on crack. Or maybe it's just how his unfortunate brain is wired. The way he flits like a flea on a hot griddle from one "bright idea" to the next and then has no follow through whatsoever is indicative of serious disorders. His ultra narcissistic attitude towards how his ideas actually work in real life is so dangerous to all sellers that suffer the consequences of his madness. He destroys with such frenetic glee and has no ability to walk in another's shoes or to take responsibility for how much he hurts people. Scary. Creepy. There must be thousands of people wishing he didn't exist.

How fabulous! It reminds me of one of those creepy clown pictures.

Can I get it on black velvet?

Creepy, horrifying and all too close to reality. I would say you nailed it.

I would like a print for my dart board. I think it would improve my aim considerably.

Awesome picture. The face shows someone devoid of empathy.

I am looking forward to watching this guy age. Because I have this vision of him turning more Gollum-like, whacking his Swimmy against his desk, muttering "Etsy is so Juicy Sweet, my Precious!"

Great portrait!

I don't think he's on crack...he's on a drug and its called Rokali.

So did the boy wonder buy his own portrait?

@ Aunt Onery,

How can any of us expect him to EVER acquire any level of responsibility, when Fred Wilson keeps jumping up to wipe his ass?

Didn't anyone notice Wilson popping into the article, to defend the heinous practices of this fool?

How 'bout sending a copy to Regretsy? I dealt with a real psycho, years ago. Nothing makes them snap quicker than ridicule. And it might be nice to start thwarting any efforts of the "shirts" getting a real return on THEIR money, since US making a profit is so unimportant, I think that WE need to help them lose a few dollars, too.

:) ya' know, it's Ginger's B'day REAL SOON.

Don't suppose the artist would consider sending him a copy?

I used to be Gigi Minor - but now I'm Annie Kight said...

"Duh....WINNING!" is all that comes to mind when I see this clown face - thank you Charlie Sheen for your wonderful words of wisdom ; )

I don't recall if it was here that I posted this question quite a while ago, if so I apologize for the repeat of vague information.
Back when Etsy was still new and good, (I'm thinking 07), I read an article somewhere, (here comes the vagueness), that a woman who is an editor or some kind of executive in the arts and crafts magazine world had the idea for Etsy however she was too busy to undertake it so she found the ginger asshat and two or three other techie types to undertake this project. Does anyone else have any idea where I might have read this or what the details of this story are? I would love to know what this woman thinks of what Etsy has become.

I can confirm that Rokali did NOT buy the portrait. I might consider sending etsy head quarters a postcard, you know, with love?

Rokali says Highlighted Post

Happy to answer this. First, can you define what you mean by "all privacy related information and features"?

I shouldn't think "all privacy related information" would be so hard to comprehend.
