Did you know that when the newly released fancy automated order cancellation system refunds you the order commission fees that it's fucking you over on your listing fee for each item that you should be getting back as well?
Yep, it's an admitted bug, but you only find that out if you ask about it. If you notice, that is. The seller that reported this to us didn't at first, we're betting many others haven't either.
Can these idiots do anything right? Or is this what they were intending to do... to steal your money 20 cents at a time.

ugh.
are they BEGGING for us to get mad?
really, it's like the kid who keeps kicking the dog, even after you grounded him 70 billion times for kicking the dog.
"really, it's like the kid who keeps kicking the dog, even after you grounded him 70 billion times for kicking the dog."
The same could be said for the sellers who keep going back and listing more and trying to make Etsy work for them. It is SOOOO obvious now what Etsy is all about and how they operate. It has been obvious for a LONG time. WHY do the sellers who complain keep going back and asking for more!? It's like beating your head against a wall. Give it up and move on to greener pastures! I think Etsy sucks just like you! And, that's why I emptied my store over a year ago and RARELY buy anything anymore.
thanks for the heads up. I recently had a npb and never even noticed I didn't get the listing fee back. very annoying.
I was refunded in less than 5 min which was a shocker.. but yeah.. they skipped the listing refund. The last time they did & I asked about it they said I wasnt reading the bill corretly... but I know how to add.
hmmm .. this isn't the first instance of etsy staying quiet over a financial infraction on their part. can anyone remind me when the other example occurred?
NB: they are very good at not notifying sellers full stop
I hadn't even noticed that I didn't get my listing fees back, just the transaction fee. I was just so glad that I didn't have to wait weeks for the transactions to be canceled fearing that I might get negative feedback while waiting that I really didn't pay it much attention.
And, beendoneforalongtime, the reason that sellers like me keep going back and listing is because etsy is the only place that I consistently SELL. I'm trying all the new sites, but I've got bills to pay and etsy is where I make my money. I'd LOVE to be able to find a site where I can sell as much as I do on etsy.
Thank you for pointing this out. A while back, I was looking at my bill and thinking I didn't get the correct refund, but then again I never understand etsy's billing system 3/4 of the time anyway.
When I didn't see the listing fee refunded, I thought maybe I was not understanding something.
Looks like I understood it perfectly clear. How come it's always admin who doesn't?
I wrote an e-mail asking about the refund, but of course I am not holding my breath on waiting for them to do the right thing and fix the problem. Nah, this is what? Problem 10,473 in the number of problems they haven't admitted to and/or fixed since the site has been around?
I swear if I can ever find a better place to sell, I will leave etsy in a heartbeat.
The worst part?
This would be a complete non-issue if it didn't count as a fucking sale until it was actually PAID for!
Are you sure? I still got the "you have been refunded $0.20" email and it's showing up on my bill okay...
Is this just cos I am a supposed "admin favorite" having items on the FP and in several gift guides? ;)
How do I get this fixed? I recently canceled 12 transactions (for 1 buyer) and only got my listing refund on 6 of the transactions). I did get all of my transaction fees though.
Found it: billing@etsy.com
sigh. guess I have to go double check my etsy bill.
:0(
thanks, as always, for keeping me informed. nobody else does.
Etsy bills are a challenge, since they are as un-intuitive as the idiots who designed the listing template, so what do you expect? Logic?
What I really want to know is why there are 5 or 6 NEW BUGS being reported every single day and Etsy is completely absent from the bug issues.
Does this mean Etsy Admins are out at the big box stores doing their Christmas shopping?
Or, maybe they're busy stocking their own Etsy stores. Gotta get those $15 items listed, QUICK!!!
I received all my missing my refunds today.
