Once again, items are not showing up after listing, specifically relisting and renewing.
You won't get your money's worth so don't list right now.
MaryMary posted this thread where hopefully they will post when things are working again. Also, it would be nice if Etsy would email their members about this technical issue that effects exposure. Just randomly venturing into the forums and seeing the bug isn't enough for sellers to know about this issue.
Once again, Etsy, it's about c-o-m-m-u-n-i-c-a-t-i-o-n...all together now...COMMUNICATION!

Is there something going on today that keeps you away from the Bugs section of the forums for the last 24 hours?
Don't you check the Bugs to see what might be driving sellers nuts?
Don't you think your sellers are important enough that you respond to their concerns?

of course I just relisted 2 things that sold while I was out this afternoon, then noticed things were a bit weird.
Why do I have to check EB before I can list on etsy??
It's all moot anyway right now since the whole site is down. Is there an update at http://fix.etsy.com/ ("This is where to look for updates if the site goes down")? No, there is not.
yeah- well the site seems to be down altogether now... so someone's tinkering with something. Right in the middle of listing too...

I just joined Etsy recently and I'm starting to regret it. So far, it's just been a disorganized mess run by people who don't seem to know how to run a site and don't care to keep sellers informed of issues.
the whole site is down right now. and Etsy Garden doesn't work, either, so I'm coming here!
I can't get into Etsy at all. It looks like the site is just plain DOWN!

It's appalling how frequently Etsy does down. I'm trying to imagine what it would be like if eBay or Amazon went down as often.
I was reading my copy of The Nest magazine that I received on Friday and Etsy does have a plug in one of the articles. I can imagine deciding to go check it out just to find that there is a site error. If I were a first time viewer of the site, I'd probably not bother to go back to it. How on earth are we supposed to get buyers that way?

It's an unhappy day when Etsy goes down, and doubly unhappy when the site that's supposed to give status updates on Etsy being down is having its own set of problems.
This is what we experienced today, and we're sorry. We're staying up late tonight to talk about what caused both mishaps, and what we can do to prevent them from happening again.
We'll be posting more in our own forums, and revamping this status page, too.

Where is the pertinent information? How about a time frame and some facts? This is going to be nothing but another version of the dorque.

OMG, I am spitting mad that they can't just do a fucking, simple "Etsy was down from approx 7-7:30 EDT, as of this writing the source of the outtage has not been determined, however, we are investigating the cause and will alert you should we experience any further problems. Thank you."
for once I just want the facts, no flowery bullshit, no 'we're so sorry', 'we let the ball drop', 'we're so sad'...................ugh!!!!!!!!
And what the HELL is the joker doing signing off on updates? I thought he was playing over at the cupcake and craft farm/

I don't get why there's always gotta be a silly accompanying picture when there actually is an important announcement. What's with that ridiculous heart? I don't care for the flowery language either - just the facts please and quick. Today was just the kick in the pants needed to post most of my items on my other online venues. Good luck everyone.

Firstly, Rob's got about as much chance of fixing it as a blindfolded puppy, since he's not a programmer.
And with the other two gone, Etsy *still* has approximately twenty engineers on side. If those twenty can't fix this, then that's Chris and Haim's fault in the first instance, either for writing bolognese that the twenty can't decipher, or for hiring people under them that can't do squat.
But they're doubly unhappy! DOUBLY UNHAPPY!! And if you don't care that they're doubly unhappy you're just a big meanie poopyface!!
