I have to say the few times I have emailed customer support, I could hear the twilight zone theme playing.
Most recently, must have been during the server upgrades that I knew nothing about I went to renew an item I edited it and clicked finish. It didn't show in my shop. The listing was there, but there was no picture and the information had not updated. When I went back into my etsy and clicked to edit it again I got an error message telling me I didn't have permission to access the listing.
Of course, being unable to post in the bugs forum with a link, I emailed support. 3 hours later, I get a response saying that the item must have been in my inactive folder. Ok, asswipe, you didn't even read what I wrote. I responded back and reiterated what I had said initially, and that at that point it had resolved itself, but the moment to check into it was lost.
They replied back that they looked at my listing, that it looked terrific and that if I had any further problems to clear my cache and cookies.
In this case, support, although very upbeat and friendly, was useless, frustrating and ineffective.
Add to that, my forum posting privileges have been permanently revoked, I can look forward to this sort of customer support from now on.
