Quotable Quote - Amen!

Preaching to the choir:

I believe the level of customer service you receive is proportionate to the level of respect a company has for it's customers.

Lack of or poor customer service tells me that the customer is not held in high regard.

Good customer service tells me that I, as a customer, am valued and appreciated.

Given the fact that nearly 3 years in existence with no discernable customer service, it is safe to assume that as customers, we mean very little to Etsy. Except for what they can bleed out of us in the way of listing, renewing and final value fees if we are lucky enough to also sell what we list.

I have never seen a site where people are so grateful and thankful for shoddy service and poor communication. This tells me that they really have no clue what else is out there.

the language in the coffee room often spills over into real life interaction with the customer - and the customer isn't stupid

preaching to the choir just about sums that one up.

I agree, ebbandflo -- the way Admin talk about us in private absolutely spills over into the forums and other places where Admin is forced to deal with their customers.

That's why anda and daniellexo got away with it for so long. They were just following the examples set for them.

Anda...the minute they made her an admin I knew something was seriously wrong at Etsy Headquarters. Her condescension/meanness and lack of skill in both crafting and people skills were apparent even before she was annointed.

And btw, why the fuck is there a giant photo(s) of Anda's baby in every Etsy Finds email? Seriously, cute kid ok, but, I don't give a fuck.

The baby's probably on the payroll.

Hell, it's possible. She likely contributes more than some other employees who work there full time.
