Best use of this meme yet! Plus, the swastika mocassins are a real Etsy product.

That was hysterical, and sadly, very true.

Thanks for the laugh!

This made me happy and wistful and hopeful that a new and actual handmade site will eventually occur and will be welcomed with open arms.

I can't figure out what the point of this video is supposed to be. Are they comparing Hitler to people who complain about Etsy? That doesn't make much sense, so I'm thinking I must be missing something.

I think I'm gonna put moustaches on everything, now.

Etsy's continuing screw ups at least give us some chuckles in between crying over lost sales.

Score = 5 buckets of popcorn

Etsy Product Plan = get out the safety pins and glue gun

Result = Get 1,798 repeats on the FP (focus on bland, butter-colored thingys that are maybe-handmade)

Goal = Etsy employees contruct a special room for my Popcorn Safety Pin Products and turn it into their new Tweet Room.

Etsy = they'd rather do anything BUT open an actual customer service phone line (promises, schmomises!)

OK I just died and went to heaven, just a little bit. Brilliant.

Poor Hitler just wanted to make art!

This is sad but true, I have been finding this out for some time. I have also been hearing what many people have been saying about a real site, we have been working on one for almost 9 months now and we opened in January. Come see how we do things. Give us a chance, A Family owned and operated company- amdrm.com we want to continue to build and grow our site with your input Thankx.

Lol, that was hilarious!

And the swastika was an important symbol in a few cultures long before Hitler decided to use it. In fact, he might have even chosen it for some of the meanings these cultures gave the symbol... evolution, stability, eternity, justice, luck, success... it all seems pretty much in line with his goals. He did mean well, in his own twisted way.

I'm not a historian by any means... but I study symbols as a bit of a hobby, and this is one that is misinterpreted very often.

Christian Marie: it was on Regretsy, and it was created to snark at a listing for a pair of moccasins that had beaded swastikas on them (the swastika also being a Native American symbol, prior to it being a Nazi symbol).

It wasn't created specifically to mock the current Etsy bullshit or the grumpy haters. It was an item-specific joke that also peripherally pokes fun at Etsy's lame corporate culture.

Brilliant, actually.

I love when commenters get all righteously indignant.

Lauren, Hitler did not mean well. He did have a strange and twisted mystical idea of a pure Teutonic race, which meant other races, ethnic groups, religions and cultures were either to be annihilated or to be used as slaves. You'd know that if you were Jewish, which I am. The Rom (Gypsies) didn't fare very well, either.

However, the Hitler parodies are hilarious. I laughed...but this was not the funniest by far.

'Dude' was out of character. It kindof ruined it for me.
