LOL! So out of a horrendous muddle and injustice, a great creation! Love it. (I used to have that bead maker favourited too!)

I can see it becoming a collectors item - let's hope no-one resells it on Etsy!

Oh, there is some surliness afoot :)

I love it!!! I hope it sells for a chunk.

Uh, oh... could this have been a case of fee avoidance?

Clearly mentions a bear in the listing....

I fucking LOVE it!!!!!!

A brilliant (and totally creative) act of poetic (lampworkic?) revenge on Etsy Admin.

Perhaps, with the creator's permission, we could add it to our flickr gallery? It should be preserved for future generations to admire.

Take a look at these lovely lampwork beads made sold by a German beadmaker on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180238266349

Now see all of them being sold as personal works an etsy seller:

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8641953

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8641952

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8657137

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8657138

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8657139

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8657142

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8726317

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=8740345

Yet, though the magic of etsy, this seller has been reported for fraud and is still allowed to sell...

Haha! That's great. I hope it sells for enough for her to hire a good lawyer. The evil Ebay does have it's purposes. LOL I still cannot believe this and believe that she is selling. Sellers like this make it harder for honest sellers to succeed. I have to admit I didn't use to like the idea of the Etsy bitch blog, but you are growing on me, and you clearly need to be out there, exposing dirty little deeds like this.

The SRA did kick them out, look here:

Their number was K50

Totally deserved, a brilliant commentary. Did I read the tongue is going to be forked?

Thank you for being here and reporting, etsybitch!

Hey bitches, can you inform people their URLs don't show up in comments? All these great links we can't get to (unless it's just me?). They can go to:
http://tinyurl.com/

I think someone should buy this bead and send it to headquarters packed in dry ice.

I feel your frustration and truly admire your lovely bead;-)

j. hart photography said...

holy crap! that person was banned from the SRA and etsy has plenty of proof that they are reselling beads as their own and nothing is being done!

and... i had to laugh about the ebay bead. that's a pretty funny way to take out your frustrations with etsy. i hope it sells for a lot!

Wigtime, for the moment if you select "page source" from "view" up on your menu bar, you can scroll down and find the full links. Or use the shortcut ctrl+U.

Well, if SRA booted this person and they are still saying they are a member of SRA then SRA can probably do something legally.

I know lawyers are expensive, but there are some free legal groups for artists.

I can't believe etsy's response to this. Unbelievable. They close people for one non-delivery complaint and then let a person like this continue to sell there AND alter their sold listings.

This has to be actionable. It has to be.

Bwhahaha Sorry that Etsy Admin didn't have a forked tongue! What can one expect when I made it while playing in the "office hours" room. Throwing beers and drinking them too...

It's not as good as Fiorenza A$$ from last week, but feel free to add it to your flickr gallery.

Ohhhh and to let ya know I did send send someone from Etsy a convo with a link to it. ;)

I'm all for j.hart's theoretical scenario on this forum thread page:

http://tinyurl.com/3gmymk

I, for one, will not be listing or renewing anything for as long as the current issues are unresolved. I am also investigating other selling venues including my own site. Enough is enough.

Isn't there a bead artist Street Team on Etsy? If so, has the Team protested the continued presence of this bead REseller's shop on Etsy? If there have been no protests, then why the hell not? The REseller doesn't have to be a Team member for this to be an issue for real bead artists on Etsy. I haven't looked at the list of Teams lately, but last time I bothered there seemed to be way too many about reproductive status, pets, religion, and other fluff. Why are there such Teams? IMO the only ones that make business sense are regional or related to what you create or sell in your shop. The Teams should be turning the heat up on admin, not wasting time posting on let's-giggle-girls threads in the forums.

they shut the shop down!

will links to altered sold listings still exist??

Sorry, I hit the button before I finished the comment...

No, the links will no longer exist. However, there are jpeg copies of at least 9 listings and the original purchases :)

Fantastic! Just goes to show what a COMMUNITY can do!!

And now we're being accused of "defamation" for insinuating some wrongdoing on Etsy's part? I think you dropped your pom-poms artisan.

Anonymous said...

Now Foxglove, don't you know that artisan is the only poster capable of understanding these "complex legal issues?"

The rest of us can only dream of possessing such an impressive intellect.

shimmerybitch said...

Not sure how many saw the bead on her site with the comment she made "Bring it on ;)"
It's been brought'!! lol

Thanks to Etsy Bitch and everyone!

Anonymous said...

The comment is still there.

"BRING IT ON;-)....i AM having so much fun doing these...."

I'm surprised she hasn't changed it yet. She must still be sleeping in Texas or Milan or Oz or wherever the hell it is she actually resides.

artisan is as much of an asshat as beag

all the sold listing pages do still exist after a store is deleted.

Loco is BRILLIANT!!! She's a real hoot over on LE, as well. If anyone was going to react with class and genuine wit to the whole sorry Ulljasbeads scandal, it's Loco.

As a lampworker and an Etsy seller I cannot BELIEVE that Etsy would have let this woman remain for more than two seconds. Oh, wait. Sorry. I've been hanging around the fora enough to know better.

FEH.
