Jewellry sellers need more to do

If you are are getting worked up arguing semantics over if a pendant is grievous violation by being tagged "necklace" or not - you might just need a life. No really, get a life.

Seriously. People. The tagging fascist stuff has to stop before someone is writing diaries in an attic hiding from the Etsy Gestapo just because they listed some earrings as "French wires" when they were clearly kidney wires. (That bastard!)

The thread is barrelling off the tracks fast though heading straight for a crash, so get some popcorn before they close it down! We're already up to personal attacks. You can almost hear a hundred butane lighters setting flame to torches for a good olde fashioned monster hunt.

Oh damn, too late, they just closed it! (puts tequila back on shelf)

Don't put the tequila away just yet.

If you made it through the entire 36 pages you're entitled to a shot or two.

Wow!!! I agree that mistagging sucks but when it's the semantics of pendant vs necklace it's ridiculous. There were some good examples in that thread of REAL mistagging - 12x18 ACEOs for example.

It wouldn't be such an issue if Etsy had a reasonable search and easy ways to find items...as many buyers pointed out in that trainwreck.

They're going to need a few dozen pairs of pliers to unwad all the panties affected by that thread!

Oh yeah this is a good one...I saw that train coming this morning and decided to get off at Sanity Station...

Ok, someone needs to give those people a slap in the face.... bitter bitter sellers who hate everyone else make me step away from the forums... Dont hate pendant sellers bc your necklaces dont sell! they dont sell cause they're FUGLY!

A certain seller (with few sales) who has gone around picking fights with everyone, should probably refrain from accusing everyone else of "shady" practices.

I don't police everyone else's tags, who has time? I guess some do.

Bartender!

I'll have 3 shots of your finest tequila!

It has honestly never occurred to me to check people's freaking tags to decide if they were worthy of buying from. By the time the dueling Wikipedia definitions came into play, I couldn't roll my eyes hard enough.

LOL!! i read that thread (not all of it) and it really drove me NUTS!! i was shocked at how much/many people were annoyed about a pendant being tagged "necklace"!!

i don't get it. if the search seeks out tags and i'm wanting to buy a necklace i don't give a SHIT if pendants come up in the search. pendants go on necklaces! i might find a fantastic pendant i can put on a chain.

It's the Wild Wild West in the Etsy Forums, partly because of the fact that Admin has generally left Etsians to do their own policing.

One of the results is ugly threads like this one. Pointless, nitpicking bickering by sellers who just don't stop to think about what would be best for their customers.

Do customers give a damn? I really doubt it.

Please set us free...tag away...I wanna call my pendants necklaces once in a while, just because I can.
